I have been making adornments lately- not quite the same as the metalworking classes I took in college with the blow torches and acid etches and such, but I find assemblage jewelry to be a lot safer. I miss the hard work of sawing and filing and soldering and polishing metal, but my hands don't. I'm really drawn to creating jewelry pieces with specific meanings to me that I can share- nothing too traditional or literal.
Simon's rat, Rita passed away this weekend. Yes, I made a coffin. The funeral is today- the rat has been kept in Simon's mom's freezer since Friday...
Goodbye, Rita.
