I found out that my all time favorite musician(s), Rasputina, are coming to Lawrence again next month. Melora Creager is from Kansas, and makes a point to stop here for shows. So I feel lucky that in the last 12 years that I have been enchanted by this music, I have always been able to attend their shows when they tour. The first time I saw a show was when Cabin Fever came out, and Melora was playing solo in a record store. The first song on this album, Gingerbread Coffin, is the inspiration behind this cycle's lunar amulet perfume. Stay tuned for a second lunar perfume tribute to Rasputina in a few weeks :)

Oh what a neglected little blog I have! Sometimes I get too consumed in the creation process to remember to post updates... I have a lot to share with you, as yesterday's Equinox marked the launch of an amazing new collection of perfume amulets, made in collaboration with Scarlett Garnet Jewelry. I would love to know how the perfume smells!! I love your shop. Rasputina rules. I got to see them in my home town, san luis obispo, ca last year and I brought Melora a few hand crafted goodies (hair accessories and a tiny portrait of her) she was so awesome. Gingerbread coffin is so lovely!
